10 CORRESPONDENCE
10.1 Letter from NYCC regarding proposals for part-night street lighting in Scalby [enclosed] and map [displayed on committee room wall] – to note and agree any comments.
10.2 Letter of September 2014 from Scalby & Newby Library Volunteers [enclosed] to receive and note.
10.3 Letter of 17/9/14 from Scalby Toilets Trust [enclosed] to receive and note.
10.4 St. Laurence’s Remembrance Sunday reading (10am 9th November) – to agree who is to do this
10.5 Road traffic Island at Stony Lane corner – to agree action as appropriate on email received 25/9/14 from a parishioner regarding the fact the work was not completed by 8th July as anticipated and asking 1] if the proposed planting during autumn of spring bulbs was still to take place and 2] for a revised schedule of works .
10.6 To note an exchange of emails [not enclosed] between a parishioner and the Clerk regarding some aspects of the planning application on the old site of the Rugby Club

FINANCE & GENERAL PURPOSES ISSUES
11 FINANCIAL MATTERS (To be tabled at the meeting unless otherwise indicated)
11.1 To approve the Schedule of Accounts to be paid for October 2014, Schedule 7.
11.2 To receive Discretionary Grant Applications [enclosed] from Scalby Football Club and Scalby Cricket Club & agree action as appropriate.
11.3 Christmas lights on St. Laurence’s Schoolroom – to receive Clerk’s verbal report re. the state of these lights and agree action to be taken in both short and long term.
11.4 External audit 2013/14 accounts – to note the audit has been successfully completed and no matters of concern raised.
11.5 To receive and note Internal auditor’s report for quarter 1 of 2014/15 account year [enclosed].
11.6 To note the annual ROSPA safety inspection report has recommended various maintenance work be carried out (eg, routine replacement of chains, bolts, shackles) and authorise Clerk to proceed as appropriate
12 GENERAL PURPOSE & REGULATORY MATTERS
12.1 Casual Vacancy in Newby Ward – 1] to note that with effect from 13th September a casual vacancy has existed in Newby Ward due to the non-attendance of Cllr. Tyson over a period of six months; 2] to receive Clerk’s report as to whether an election has been requested and if appropriate authorise the Clerk to post a notice inviting applications for the vacancy (closing date to be 8am on Monday 3rd November 2014).
12.2 Permanent variation of Standing Orders (as considered at meeting of 10/9/14) – to receive amended orders [enclosed] and agree action as appropriate.
12.3 Cllr. Mrs Kendall & Cllr. Towse to report on their recent meeting with Police and give details of possible joint community project by Parish Council and Police [funding likely to be by Parish Council].
