New content is being added to the website on a frequent basis, and there are a variety of ways you can locate it. Looking in the menu at the top of the page is the quickest way to find things. Meetings of the Council are throughout the year.
The May Meeting is the Annual Council Meeting when the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Council are elected for the new Council Year.
The public can attend meetings (though sometimes the press and public may be excluded if the matters to be discussed are confidential). Agenda are displayed on the noticeboard. Minutes are published on this website.
Please note – Council meetings are held in public, so members of the public may attend and observe. However, they are not public meetings, and members of the public may not take part at any time they choose. Speaking is only permitted during the public session at the start of the meeting, or when invited by the Chairman. Any matters raised during the public session should relate to items on the agenda. At times, the meeting may move into private session to discuss confidential matters, during which members of the public and press will be asked to leave.
