MINUTES OF EXTRAORDINARY MEETING OF NEWBY AND SCALBY TOWN COUNCIL
held in the Community Hub, Council Office, 445b Scalby Road, Scalby,
on Monday, 22nd July 2024 at 2pm.
PRESENT: Councillors R Thompson (Chairman), H Bore, R Holliday, B Kendall, G Kendall (from 2.04pm), B Marley, N Murphy, J Smith, C Thistleton.
ALSO IN ATTENDANCE: 13 members of public, 1 potential co-optee. Mrs J Marley (Clerk to Council).
ABSENT: Cllrs. D Bastiman, S Foote, D Pickersgill, J Shepherd.

115/24.1 Apologies received & noted from Cllrs. D Bastiman, S Foote, D Pickersgill and J Shepherd.
115/24.2 Resolved the reasons for absence given by Cllrs. Bastiman, Foote and Pickersgill (prior commitment), and Shepherd (health) be approved.

117/24.1 Having been previously circulated, the minutes of the Extraordinary Meeting of Council held on 12th July 2024 were resolved to be a correct record and authorised for signature by Cllr. Thompson.
118/24 CASUAL VACANCY
118/24.1 Received written application [circulated to councillors only, in accordance with Co-Option Policy] for co-option to the vacancy in Newby Ward. Resolved Gillian Kendall be co-opted to the vacancy in Newby Ward. Her Declaration of Acceptance of Office was completed and witnessed at 2.04pm.
There being no further business to be transacted, the Chairman declared the meeting closed at 2.05pm.
