MINUTES OF AN EXTRA ORDINARY MEETING OF NEWBY AND SCALBY PARISH COUNCIL
held in the Community Hub, Council Office, 445b Scalby Road, Scalby,
on Wednesday, 16th March 2022 at 6pm.
PRESENT: Councillor R Towse (Chairman), Cllrs. S Barnes, D Bastiman, S Foote, R Holliday, D Sutton.
ALSO IN ATTENDANCE: Mrs J Marley (Clerk to Council), Mrs H King (Head of Hub & Community Support Services)
ABSENT: Cllrs. P Harriott and D Langmead.
147/21 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE The following apologies for absence were accepted and the reasons for absence were approved:- Cllr. Thompson (personal commitment).
148/21 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST: None.
149/21 EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC
At 6.01pm it was resolved that in accordance with section 1 of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the next item of business on the grounds it related to legal/commercially sensitive/contractual matters.
150/21 VARIOUS ITEMS
150/21.1 Staffing [Minute 146/21.1 refers]. To carry out a six month review on the post of Head of Hub and Community Support Services. A confidential report was tabled by the Clerk. Agreed to accept the recommendation of the report and the postholder’s contract be varied (backdated to 1st March 2022) to 30 hours/week, payscale to remain as existing and the contract to be reviewed again in 6 month’s time.
There being no further business, the Chairman declared the meeting closed at 6.12pm.
