7          UPDATES ON VARIOUS MATTERS & COUNCILLOR’S REPORTS

7.1       To receive update from Clerk on any highway, footpath and other matters.

7.2       To receive reports from Councillors of any highway & footpath or other matters requiring attention (to include report by Cllr. Barnes on Station Rd/Field Lane/Mill Way).

8.1       Correspondence received after preparation of the agenda which the Chairman of the meeting deems it necessary to consider as a matter of urgency.

FINANCE & GENERAL PURPOSES ISSUES

9          FINANCE, REGULATORY & GENERAL MATTERS  (Tabled at the meeting unless otherwise indicated)

9.1       To approve the Schedule of Accounts Payable for February 2021 (Schedule 11).

9.2       JJ Burchell Bequest gilts [Minute 123/20.2 refers] – to note these are now held in the Parish Council’s name.

9.3       AJ1 fund and VAS signs [Minute 137/20.3 refers] – to note 1] the Chairman has signed the VAS Installation Agreement with NYCC; 2] the purchase order has been placed.

9.4       Community Hub and Premises:- 1] to receive an update from the Chairman/Clerk, agree the way forward and action as appropriate;

9.5       Community engagement/telephone support worker [Minute 137/20.5 refers] – 1] to note interviews to take place week beginning 15th February on zoom, panel to comprise Chairman, Cllr. Holliday, Cllr. Wiles & T Boden; 2] to authorise Chairman to appoint candidate selected by panel.

  1. 20/02822/FLA Vary condition 1 of 19/00474/HS so as to remove the sun room at 36 Lady Ediths Avenue Newby (to agree comments)
  2. 20/02837/HS Remove flat roof, replace with pitched roof, erect part two storey/single storey extension following demolition of existing store, replace all windows and doors at 50 High Street, Scalby (to agree comments)
  3. 21/00079/FL Change of use of ground floor from C3 (residential) to Use Class E (music recording studio), first floor to retain C3 use at 487 Scalby Road, Scalby (to agree comments).
  4. NYM/21/0052/FL Change of use of land to form manege (revised scheme to NYM/2020/0352/FL) Beacon Cottage Farm, Beacon Brow Road, Scalby (to agree comments).

  2. 20/01866/FLA Amendment to decision reference 18/01587/FL to provide extension of South-West elevation at second floors level to allow the reconfiguration and enlargement of 2no. apartments at 454 Scalby Road, Scalby. Granted.
  3. 20/02459/FL Erect 2 no. 2.4 metre high fences at Cross Lane Hospital, Cross Lane, Newby. Granted with conditions.
  4. 20/02492/HS Erect two storey side extension and single storey rear extension, 73 Cross Lane. Granted with conditions.
  5. 20/02676/HS Erect single storey rear extension at 307 Scalby Road, Newby.  Granted with conditions.
  6. 20/02678/HS Erect single storey side and rear extension at 91 Burniston Road, Newby. Granted with conditions.
  7. 20/02706/HS Demolish garage, erect front and rear extensions at 44 Hillcrest Avenue, Newby. Application withdrawn.
